Sowing & growing
Sow inside Mar-May in pots of good quality seed compost. Sow 10mm deep. Germination usually takes 1-2 weeks at 18-20°C. Once germinated, pot on and acclimatise before planting out 60cm apart once risk of frost has passed. Alternatively, sow directly late-May-Jun. Protect young seedlings with cloches on cold nights.
Aftercare
Feed and water well ideally apply a mulch to retain moisture and keep weeds at bay.
