Sowing & growing

Sow where they are to flower April-May. Sow 3mm deep in prepared soil raked to a fine tilth. Keep watered. Thin out to 25cm. March-April, sow under glass in modules of moist seed compost. Germinate at 15-25°C. When seedlings are large enough to handle, acclimatise before planting out when risk of frost has passed.

Aftercare

Plants may need staking due the large flower heads. Deadhead or cut regularly to encourage more flowers.
