Sowing & growing

Sow directly March-Aug. Can be sown directly in pots, raised beds or beds. Sow 1.5cm deep in pre-watered, fertile soil. Early sowings may require protection from frosts. Sow every 2-3 weeks for a regular supply of leaves over the season. Thin to 15cm for baby leaves, and 20cm for mature plants.

Aftercare

Keep soil well-watered, especially during hot weather to discourage bolting. Leaves can picked when about 10cm tall. Pick a few leaves from each plant or harvest whole plants from May.
